A preview article for the Edinburgh Fringe dance programme. There is also a discussion with Morag Deyes, '..the dedicated and very determined director of Scotland’s national dance centre.'
Quote:
Dance is the Cinderella of artform," says Dance Base director, Morag Deyes, and you know she is not talking balls and fairy-godmothers. "Everyone likes using pictures of beautiful bodies in their programme brochures, but when it comes down to it, dance just doesn’t get a good kick at the ball.".... even the most pragmatic person could not fail to notice that dance at the Fringe has lately struggled to find a foothold.
Now read on WARNING i would like to read this article, but found that on each of the three occasions i tried, my browser coincidentally (?) crashed..... sorting out what was going on, and re-establishing my connection 3 times has eaten up about 90 minutes of my evening.
so i don't recommend you try this link - sorry, stuart - but i AM most curious to hear if anyone is brave enough to, whether it works OK for you, or not!
