Men Who Have Movement on Their Minds

Festival organizers, however, chose to emphasize other kinds of diversity. The festival, which continues through July 30, is a hodgepodge of choreographers, emerging and otherwise, who do everything from contemporary ballet to aerial work. Most of the troupes are based in the United States, but the Sukinang Dance Group of Cameroon, a traditional folk group, will make its New York debut, and Centro Coreografico di Danza from Italy will make its United States debut. In addition to the many showcases, Michael Minery’s Tapaholics and Synthesis Dance Project will perform evening-length works.
