From the Chicago Sun Times:<P><B>'Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes'</B> <P>November 26, 2001<P>BY JAE-HA KIM STAFF REPORTER<P> <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>The dancer is fetching in her slinky bra and harem pants. She has a splash of bright pink lipstick on her puckered lips and she pirouettes prettily for the audience.<P>Unfortunately for the men in the audience, this isn't one of the leggy, yet wholesome Rockettes kicking up her heels in this number. Rather, it's a dancer dressed as a ballerina bear in the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes" currently running at the Rosemont Theatre.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P><A HREF="http://www.suntimes.com/output/show/cst-ftr-rock26.html" TARGET=_blank><B>MORE...</B></A><BR>

Do they prerecord their taps?<P>I am always amazed that, though they don't have taps on the bottom of their shoes, they still can make a remarkably tap-like sound.

From the SF Chronicle.

Quote:
Retro Radio City show a surreal kick
70-year-old show a gaudy spectacle

Steven Winn, Chronicle Arts and Culture Critic

New York -- If Santa didn't have a cell phone or mobile fax, it might be the 1950s all over again at "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular," right down to the 3-D glasses folded into the program book. This 70-year-old holiday theatrical is a living mausoleum of entertainment hoof, heft and super-size nostalgic bric-a- brac.
