Trapeze artists hit new heights by Judith Flanders in The Evening Standard
What do you get if you add together an inflatable bubble structure, two cellists, two mezzo sopranos, a double bass and 13 trapeze artists? Oddly enough, a magical evening. With Kayassine, their magnificent new programme, the French-based Les Arts Sauts have taken the trapeze work of the traditional circus and given it wings. They perform above an audience sprawled in reclining deckchairs, looking up at the superstructure 20 metres high, into what appears to be a runway in the sky.
