The link between popular music and dancing cannot be denied. For years musical groups have been choreographing movements to their music to enhance their appeal to the audiences. Even back when the Jackson Five and Elvis performed, the importance of entertaining live shows was well known.
Today, with the emergence of the music video and satellite television, this link is even more widely recognised. Dance troupes provide the link between dancing and the popular music industry, an industry, where dancers are in demand almost as much as the artists they serve.
