If God had intended men to dance, they could
By JOHN CARLSON for The Star Press

We were there because I believe a husband should take his wife dancing occasionally.
The two of us have worked out an agreement.

I get to sit on the couch eating Fritos and watching sports on television for about 8,000 nights in a row.

Then, a couple times a century, she gets to go dancing.

Granted, this seems like an unfair trade-off, but I have always been the kind of softy who lets his wife take advantage of him.

Oh dear, I have decided not to take out a yearly subscription to The Star Press of East Central Indiana.

Loved doing ballet; would'nt social dance for any amount of money. Just can't do it.

Well this guy is certainly intrigued:

I'm in ballet so every girl assumes I'm gay ... but the dancers know different
Inspired by a new movie our correspondent took up ballet. He found a world of high art and hard work with a hint of sexual tension for which he would have been perfectly suited if only he had the talent and the dedication
By Hugo Rifkind for The Times.

I REALLY THOUGHT I might be good at ballet. Granted, the traditional age to take it up is eight, and at 27 I might have rather overshot this. But still, as I walked towards Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden for my first lesson, some time back in February, my brain was alive with possibility. I would dazzle my instructors, I decided. I would reach professional standard within weeks, quit journalism and take to the stage.

Here's a guy who realises just how useful dancing can be:

And two... two... three... ouch!
Someone told left-footed lothario Andrew Thomas that salsa could help his love life. So he went to Spain. From The Times:

It’s not often that you tell a taxi driver where you want to go and he puts on music to suit. But when Carlos heard we were between clubs, heading to Buena Vista having just left La Habana, he knew exactly what was required. “Ah, you like salsa,” he declared, reaching to the glove compartment for a CD. “Me too!” Up the Ramblas, through Catalonia Square and past the architectural masterpieces of Gaudi, our midnight tour of Barcelona was to a Latino beat.
