I've noticed that some of the moderators seem quite adept at some really nifty tricks, for example:<BR> 1. Quoting other stuff.<BR> 2. Linking to other threads, in which the thread name appears in bold.<P>What tricks do you use to get these effects? How do you do it efficiently, without opening a thousand windows and cut-and-pasting cryptic URL's all over the place? Do you use UBB or HTML? Are these tricks available to mere mortals?<BR>

All of those nifty tricks can be found here:

WHAT IS UBB CODE ?

You too can learn to use UBB to hyperlink to URLs, put things in quotes and to bold, etc.

And if you would like to improve your French, or if French is your first language, here is 'la version fran├žaise':

QU'EST-CE QUE LE CODE UBB ?

When you see some of these 'tricks' - you can click into that person's posting box by clicking on the icon above the post and look and see what was typed.<P>You can't change what the person posted, but you can look at it. I've learned a lot that way.

CitiBob, yes, you won't have to open a thousand windows; just two or three. Image

Ignore me; I'm just moving this thread to the top.
