I am a dance graduate from London with a specialsim in Limon technique and choreography. In November I will be going to New York to study at the peridance center after which I plan to return to Engalnd to teach Limon. At the moment it is virtually impossible to take limon classes outside of the academic instution in England. I would very mich like to gain some teaching experience whilst I am in New York and would be prepared to do this on a voluntary basis. I would be grateful if anyone could contact me regarding any usful information and advice that may be relevant.
Kind regards

welcome, sarah!
i LOVE limon - i wish someone taught it here. and when i was in london, it was impossible to find open classes in this style there, too. so i know you are right in saying there is a need for your teaching.
i think both graham and limon technique have a LOT to offer the ballet student/dancer also: to 'feel' weight, give in to it, 'ground' oneself - adding the weight dynamic to a movement in a way that ballet training doesn't teach quite as well.
trina is a bit of a limon expert here - but she's busy doing a recital with 200 students at the moment - so you may have to wait a little for HER response.
glad to see you at CD, and we hope you like it and stay around!
