 Post subject: Dance in theatricle performances

I think that we should open a disscusion on dance in the theatre..within a play I mean..like in CATS i think that ti helps bring the wholr plot together and is better then just standing around and siging songs but also expressing movement through dance...beautifully choreographed dance

I am based in NY...I love CATS not just the dancing but the sniging as well...I'm an all aroung per former....But my main dance is jazz and a small part in teh nutcrker very yr......I think that there definatly neds to be more dance in the theatre!!!

Bomablurina, what about Fosse? It's got a bit of everything ==> dancin', singin', actin'. There's alot of dance on Broadway. Also The Lion King. Do you think there should be more?<p>[This message has been edited by Cronos (edited 11-04-1999).]

I think Fosse is great....I'm not saying that there neccisarily needs to be more but that what is there is fabulos....I tend to concentrate on the positive myself
