Our next master class features:<P><BR>Kathleen Hermsdorf: Motion Techniques<BR>with Albert Mathias, musician<BR>Sunday, April 16, 1-4 pm, $30<BR>Eighth Street Studio, 2525 8th St (between Dwight and Parker), Berkeley, CA<P><BR>A vigorous and detailed class centered on the act of motion from the inside<BR>out and its inherent connection to sound and music. Improvisation,<BR>energetics, physics and mechanics meet in a long phrase of choreography fed<BR>by a live, rich sonic score. A training ground for a resonant and<BR>expressive body.<P><BR>Kathleen Hermsdorf and Albert Mathias have been collaborating in sound and<BR>motion since they met in the interdisciplinary performance group,<BR>Contraband, in 1995. They have been teaching at ODC School since 1996 and<BR>have been guest artists at dance festivals and universities around the<BR>country. They recently produced BLUE 2000 at ODC Theater as<BR>Artists-in-Residence.<P><BR>Master classes are recommended for experienced dancers. Spaces are<BR>extremely limited!
