Pat lives in Orange County and is looking for pas de deux partners (under 100 lbs - smart move, Pat!).
This sweet site has to be seen to be believed.
It really is quite touching, in reminding the somewhat jaded among us, of how much people can love ballet and want to immerse themselves in it.
http://www.spector.org/pats_ballet_site/
at first i liked the music, but it can get a bit annoying, especially when you're trying to read...i don't enjoy reading in time with the music when it's allegro prestissimo!
for example, in Reviews, Pat has written a description of a talk by Darci Kistler (2 years ago, but still interesting)...wherein she relates a great story about an unnamed French ballerina coming offstage and saying to Mr. B. that it was a wonderful experience (dancing his work), to which he is supposed to have responded 'YOU're not supposed to have a wonderful experience! I am'...(too true, isn't it dancers?)
i DO wonder WHY, though, on his "Who is Pat?" page, Pat recommends a visit to Dr. Feldman after viewing this site...do you acquire a dance injury by just looking on?
I hope the mums and dads appreciate his class and recital photos: some are quite dear, although not always having hit QUITE the right pose, yet - boy, i used to HATE those photos of me!
make sure you don't miss the message board, at http://www.spector.org/ballet_chat/
more power to you, Pat!

[This message has been edited by grace (edited April 12, 2000).]
