Actually, it's Melanie Henderson on the Bay Dance web site. Bay Dance webmaster Michael Phelan, who is also an administrator here on criticaldance.com superimposed a photo of Melanie onto that of the Golden Gate Bridge. Do you also know that Melanie just gave birth a few months ago and is dancing again?
Stuart, what did you do with the image? It's taking forever to load.

BTW, Lines *is* a very leggy, sexy company. Michael is a big fan. Image

I figured it out. Lines' website was down.

Hi. Azlan is correct. The dancer on the Bay Dance site is Melanie Henderson. It's one of the most dynamic dance photos I've ever seen. I had a caption on the picture identifying her, but it somehow disappeared when I reloaded the image. I've put it back. To expand on what Azlan said, Melanie gave birth to daughter Julia last August and was dancing one month later.
The photo of Melanie is also a Marty Sohl image. BTW - Marty Sohl just got her web site up a couple of weeks ago, and she's very excited about it. If you enjoy her photos (and who doesn't?), go to http://www.martysohlphoto.com/, or from the Bay Dance Bay Area page. Because of a scanner situation, many of the photos displayed are black and white, but Marty expects to get more color ones posted soon.

[This message has been edited by Michael (edited April 13, 2000).]

The Bay Dance link to Marty Sohl's site is at http://www.baydance.com/baylinks.htm under Photographers near the bottom of the page.
That's getting to be a big page. Maybe I should split it up.
