Stuart adds 21/11/2004: Just rediscovered this topic, which made me smile again

Last week, I attended a performance of the Cadence Dance Project, held in Cambridge, Mass. At the beginning of the intermission, the young man in the seat in front of mine leaned over and told his date that one of the things she had just seen on stage was "reveille."

I was thinking about this, when he next stated that the ballerinas were wearing "porter bras."

At this point, I lost it entirely and began to laugh hysterically, which got me strange looks from some of the other audience members - including the young man and his date.

Well 2RightFeet, it is a little known fact that the brassieres developed for the use of female porters in Lithuania have proved very useful with some ballerinas and provide admirable support under extreme physical conditions.
And I have to tell you that my detailed, nay intimate, knowledge of Baltic undergarment technology has impressed many of my dates.

I get the feeling (no pun intended - ha) that this is going to be a male dominated thread.....
Didn't we already have a thread on this? And wasn't the resident expert in the "field" our dear friend Azlan?
I think I will scoot now, whilst I can---->

. . .and an uplifting thread it was, too; however, Basheva, you seem to wish to cleave yourself from this discussion, and I support that wish.
One question, though. . .what's a. . ."date"?
[This message has been edited by salzberg (edited April 29, 2001).]

We don't need any one to love us...some of us love ourselves enough to make up for two.
Date, Jeff, is that thing on a calendar...you know! Load in Date - Opening Date - Rent Due Date - Touring Date

I saw a nice brazier on sale at K-Mart the other day. Great for a hot date.

If that other thread on Ballet Parking is going on its fourth page - this one is guaranteed for ten....
Salzberg...the date is the fruit of the palm, as opposed to fruit of the vine. Where is your mind? Probably in your palm....at certain times and dates.
I buy my dates in the fruit department at the food store, works for me.

I'm not (yet) desperate enough that I have to buy my dates.

How many times do I have to repeat that I am not an expert on this subject?!!!
Here however was the original thread, started by Priscilla and not me:
Special Dance Underwear
