I'm 19 years old and I am currently studying under a professor and a Alvin Ailey dancer and I am interested in going to some modern/contemporary intensives but I live in Texas and it seems everything I want to do such as Martha Graham, Mark Morris, Denis Shawn ect is in New York city. I am obviously a working college dancer and have no money and could not travel that far, where are there some modern intensives in Texas or near Texas that are happening either this summer of 2015 or winter? I could really use the help.

Good question. You don't say where you are studying, but you may already know that TCU has a great rep as a trainer of dance students:
Texas Christian U.

You may also want to try Ballet Austin or Houston Ballet for programs and other suggestions.

I note too that Jesee Smart is listed as a faculty member at this school and says she studied at the Graham while being trained:
Georgetown Palace

Hopefully, this gives you some leads. Best wishes!
