Ballet Hispánico

Nightclub, a world premiere, is the overall title for a three-part work that gives Ballet Hispánico's dancers a prime opportunity to display their exuberant talent.

Founded by Tina Ramírez, this is a company that mixes ballet with mambo, modern with tango, all featured in this work by Graciela Daniele, Alexandre Magno and Sergio Trujillo.

The first is set in a 1920s Buenos Aires whorehouse, the second in 1950s Spanish Harlem and the third in one of today's more dissolute nightclubs, but the differences in location and era are not particularly obvious in either steps or atmosphere.
