Yesterday I received the list of dancers performing Odette-Odile for the Berkeley run from Mr. Yuri Fateyev, head of the ballet troupe. He pointed out that the casting for Costa Mesa will be slightly different.

For Berkeley we will see:

Ekaterina Kondaurova
Viktoria Tereshkina (pronounced "Teryoshkina" for the newbies)
Anastasia Kolegova
Anastasia Matvienko
Alina Somova

Siegfried will be danced by:

Danila Korsuntsev
Evgeny Ivanchenko
Maxim Zuizin
Vladimir Shklyarov

Thanks, Catherine. I'm surprised to not see Oksana Skorik on the list of O/Os; perhaps she will dance in Costa Mesa.

It would be great to know the principals for the Edinburgh and Washington, DC, tours of Ratmansky's Cinderella. No word yet on either theater's website, even though the Edinburgh stop is in August, with tix already being sold. KennedyCtr tix begin to sell August 8.

p.s. Whoa...just noticed that the Mariinsky's (if not the world's) A-#1 Odette-Odile, Uliana Lopatkina, is absent from the principal line-up for Berkeley. Maybe it is she who is being 'saved for Costa Mesa'?

One can hope, pray and dream, no? I would be surprised but I hope -- for the sake of audiences -- that she will be.

It's very nice to see Anastasia Kolegova's name. I've only seen her once, Lilac Fairy ("Sleeping Beauty," 2011 Mariinsky Festival), and I liked her very much.

She has a very nice, very distinct dance quality, magnified by her vibrant face. Among other things, this may have to do with the elegant positioning of her head. Of the several internet video clips that I've seen of her, there is one very brief segment of her in a Galina Ulanova documentary that has a special quality. Here her dancing looks like it's in slow motion as she so gracefully floats through the air.

Thanks for posting this list, Catherine. I contacted the Costa Mesa ticket office and the person there said that seats to non-seasonal subscribers usually go on sale six to eight weeks before a performance.

Natalia,
I confirmed in my interview with Fateyev last month: Lopatkina will not be on the West coast tours :-( --at least, certainly will not be in Berkeley. Nor will Pavlenko.

Buddy,
I know some people in the SF Bay Area who already purchased tickets for the Zellerbach run. But that may be subscribers, I am not sure.

It appears that you are correct about Ulyana Lopatkina not appearing, Catherine.

From the Segerstrom Center's site.

Oct 2 and 5: Victoria Tereshkina & Vladimir Schklyarov
Oct 3 & 6 eve: Alina Somova & Evgeny Ivanchenko
Oct 4 & 7: Oxana Skorik & Timur Askerov
Oct 6 mat: Ekaterina Kondaurova & Danila Korsuntev

But Cal Performances does have her listed for an appearance.

My error in the preceding post. The Segerstrom Center is located in Costa Mesa, not Berkeley. I'll try to find the Berkeley schedule if I get a few minutes free.

Here's the casting for Berkeley, just posted.

Odette, Queen of the Swans/Odile, Odette's Double

Yekaterina Kondaurova (10, 13 mat)
Anastasia Kolegova (11, 14)
Victoria Tereshkina (12)
Alina Somova (13 eve)

etc.

Anastasia Kolegova (glad to see her name) will be dancing instead of Oxana Skorik (also very glad to see her name), who will appear in Costa Mesa. Keenan Kampa (USA) will be one of the four 'taller' swans. Xander (Alexander) Parish (from the UK and very nice guy) will be dancing in the "Friends of the Prince" trio).

I've just been informed that both Somova and Tereshkina will not be on the California tour stops. I have not heard who replacements will be but Olesya Novikova is a likely choice. Will keep you posted.

Updating this -- as we already know, Kolegova and Skorik are the replacement O/Os for the LA stop (I'll copy this info to that thread as well). I havent yet heard who will take over Somova/Tereshkina's at Zellerbach but will post when it's confirmed.

The UCal-Berkeley web no longer shows the mothers-to-be on its cast list. Only Kondaurova & Kolegova cited, sharing no less that 5 Siegfrieds (yikes!):

Cast* & Credits

...
Odette, Queen of the Swans/Odile, Odette's Double
Yekaterina Kondaurova (10, 13 mat)
Anastasia Kolegova (11, 14)

Prince Siegfried
Danila Korsuntsev (10, 13 mat)
Yevgeny Ivanchenko (11)
Vladimir Schklyarov (12)
Alexander Sergeev (13 eve)
Maxim Zuzin (14)

Hopefully we will soon learn the identity of the 'Mystery Odette-Odile' for the evenings of Oct. 12 and 13. It would be crazy to ask Kondaurova and Kolegova to each dance 3 full performances of Swan Lake within a five-day span.

Thanks for posting that NN - yes it would be crazy, hopefully they wont be overworked on the tour. We all await the final word on castimg for Oct. 12-13th evenings. I am guessing it may be Skorik for one of them, but she can't really do two nights in a row (no one can). So either there will be more shuffling, or there will be two replacements, one for the 12th and one for the 13th. Or someone will be overworked...

And sure enough, it's Skorik:

Yekaterina Kondaurova (10, 13 mat)
Oksana Skoryk (11, 13 eve)
Anastasia Kolegova (12, 14)
