Some tidbits from the Works in Progress presentation

** The company will be doing the Balanchine Nutcracker next Christmas ... first time in MANY years for this version to be done in Europe

** In 2012 or 2013 the company is getting a full length Ratmansky (Ratmansky did Anna Karenina for them, which I think was his first full length, and was a principal dancer there)

** Jerome Robbins evening

** Young choreographers

While I appreciate any reviews (Danish or English) coming out of Copenhagen these days, two cringe inducing bits to this review...

First, she refers to the student in 'The Lesson' collapsing. Um..no! The student is strangled as far as I can remember, and it's pretty clear. Did Bork really not get this?

Also, to refer to Thomas Lund as 'ageing'? Ouch! He's only 37, so not has a few more years left and I think most people would consider 37 pretty darn young.
