Australian Ballet's new full length production, currently on tour in Sydney, is Graeme Murphy's "The Silver Rose," roughly patterned on Richard Strauss' and Hugo von Hofmannsthal's "Der Rosenkavalier." Jill Sykes reviews the production in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Australian Ballet announces performances of Sir Peter Wright's "The Nutcracker" in Melbourne from September 11-25 and in Sydney from December 3-22. American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer David Hallberg will perform as guest artist in three perfrmances in Melbourne, September 21, 23 and 25 (evening). A preview in Broadway World.

Australian Ballet is presenting a triple bill entitled "Edge of Night," featuring two works by Stephen Baynes and one by Tim Harbour, in Melbourne through September 4, 2010. The program will be repeated in Sydney between November 11 and 24, 2010. Jordan Vincent reviews the performance in Australian Stage.
