www.dekretser.com/efliers/birdsong/birdsong.asp?eid=bsWWDUK Siobhan Davies Dance Company's new production, Bird Song, is the company's second major work to bring the audience strikingly close to the dancers and is presented 'in the round'.
Award winning choreographer Siobhan Davies has worked with visual artist David Ward and sound score composer Andy Pink to create an extraordinary sensory experience as film, light and video sweep across the dancers to the accompaniment of an intriguing sound score. Bird Song draws on over one hundred different sound sources as inspiration, from classical to jazz and baroque to digital samplings. At the heart of the piece is the first sound to initiate the process: the song of the Australian Pied Butcher Bird.
Intense, intimate, world-class, award winning dance.
Siobhan Davies Dance Company will be touring again in the Autumn. Full details will be available in the summer. Please sign up using the form at the end of the trailer if you would like to receive information.
