BRENDAN COLE ANNOUNCES FIRST UK LIVE TOUR
Brendan Cole LIVE and UNJUDGED

Brendan Cole, one of the professional dancers in BBC TV’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, announces his first live tour of the UK LIVE and UNJUDGED, opening at the Concert Hall Brighton Dome on 22nd December.

Brendan, the ‘bad boy of ballroom’, demonstrates his brilliant execution and superb choreography in a dynamic dance show. From the sensual moves of the tango, rumba and cha cha, the elegance of the foxtrot, quickstep and Viennese waltz, to a red hot blast of paso doble, salsa and jive, Brendan and his guests perform their choice of everybody’s favourites.

Set to songs from legends such as Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, to Whitney Huston, Michael Buble, and Michael Jackson, mixed with music as contrasting as Carmina Burana and Guns N’ Roses, this show is full-on dance-floor dynamite. Brendan with his dancers, singers and a scorching band of hip young musicians gives the ultimate modern take on ballroom, up close and personal.

Joining him is a galaxy of championship dancers. Brother Scott, ( three-times New Zealand champion); Latin American professionals Andrew Cuerden and Hanna Haarala (‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series 3). Nicole Cutler, World Latin American Champion (former ‘Strictly’ professional).

The singers and band are under the direction of Musical Director Barry Robinson, popular MD for numerous West End shows.

New Zealander Brendan has emerged as one of the star professionals in BBC TV’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series and adds an international flavour to the show. Sassy and sexy, dramatic and daring, Cole is a charismatic performer with star quality. His choreography has a touch of genius and his spirited exchanges with the Strictly judges make great TV viewing. Brendan went on to win the first series when he partnered Natasha Kaplinsky and he has since performed in every subsequent series.

He has partnered some of the most stunning celebrities, including Kelly Brook, Lisa Snowdon and super-model Rachel Hunter, and his partner in the new series is ex model Jo Wood estranged wife of Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood.

Born in 1976 in Christchurch New Zealand, Brendan was six years old when he first learnt ballroom and Latin American dance, fast becoming junior champion and going on to international competitions. A dancing family, his elder brother Scott teaches dance in London and his younger sister runs a dance school in New Zealand. Travel brought Brendan to London where he made his base, turning professional in 2000. In 2004 with his dance partner Camilla Dallerup, he was invited to take part in the BBC TV reality show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

On home ground, Brendan is one of the judges in the New Zealand TV version ’Dancing with the Stars’, where he has gained the reputation as the Simon Cowell of the judges.

Away from the TV series, Brendan has a burgeoning career as a celebrity performer, in much demand for some of the biggest celebrity TV shows. He appears at corporate events and choreographs for other dancers and stage shows. With his good looks and an easy charm, he is a favourite with dancewear companies and photographic agencies, and a popular guest at London’s social events.
