Nikolai Tsiskaridze will be dancing with the Kremlin ballet in Cannes on 27th and 28th August in Scheherazade (27th) and Le Dieu Bleu (28th).

Also on the bill is Tamar (27th) with the Kirov’s Irma Nioradze and Ilya Kouznetsov, though I’m not sure if that is the Kirov’s Kouznetsov or another dancer that goes by the same name, and the Firebird (28th) with Christine Kretov and Sergei Smirnov, two dancers I’m not familiar with.

August in Cannes – I think I may be up for that.

And before that Nikolai Tsiskaridze's appearances in Europe with the Bolshoi include:

La fille du pharaoh - in Milan on 8th and 10th of May

and
La Bayadere - in London on 2nd of August.

"... I’m not sure if that is the Kirov’s Kouznetsov or another dancer..."

It is the same Ilya Kuznetsov. He did Tamar with Irma before.

A new look to Nikolai Tsiskaridze's web site.

http://n-tsiskaridze.ru/

Can anyone tell me why he's dressed up as an arab with a donkey in some of the pictures?

Tsiskaridze continues to be vilified by certain UK critics. Scroll down for an entirely unwarranted and spiteful remark by Judith Mackrell in today's Guardian.

Amazing!
How could a Guardian critic miss the fact that Tsiskaridze danced brilliantly on that night?
Curiously, Jeffery Taylor commented on the same performance:
"Tsiskaridze simply lays himself on the line and brings the house down."
Following Miss Mackrell's "Most... most... most..." system of awards I would like to award her with the title of the Most Blear-Eyed Critic.

Sadly I have to report that Luke Jennings has also seen fit to insult Tsiskaridze in his round up of 2007. On this occasion I'm not prepared to dignify his ignorant comments with a link to the offending article.

What is this? A conspiracy?
