I have had a great Saturday afternoon of a week full of dance –in the morning I saw some auditions for Ángel Corella’s “Ballet de España” and the day after Alain Platel’s Vsprs-
But as far as the
Russian Imperial Ballet is concerned I must say that I liked it, their choreography of Ravel’s
Bolero surprised me as I thought that it was not possible to exceed the magic of Bejart’s one but even if I still like it more I have to recognize that the Russian Company made an amazing ballet with the choreography of Nikolay Androsov.
Sherezade was also good and about
Carmina Burana I liked how it started and finished but the development was a bit boring for me.
I’m sorry it’s rather difficult to find the words to express myself in English but I wanted to let you, and specially Cassandra, know about.
I heard from two different attendants that their
Lake has also been very good, they said that the principal ballerina was an outstanding dancer, the pity is that the stage of that theater is too small to perform the classics.
On Saturday afternoon the theater was nearly full and audience applauded the ballet very much and then they say that classics are not appreciated in Cataluña!
Well Cassandra I wish you very happy days in Spain with these 3 performances scheduled

and yes please let us know about, I enjoyed it a lot reading your review of Nutcracker
