In my essay I have wrote this.....

To show naivety, carelessness and escapism I created elegant, swooping, elevated arabesques, glissade dessous, ballottés and tour de promenade (en attitude) with strong balletic arms, evocative of a bird in flight.

Does the french ballet terms make sense in the way i have wrote it?
The GLISSADE was done from underneath so i wrote DESSOUS after it - this looks wrong. HELP!

Please don't be offended, but, assuming that it's your native (or primary) language, you need to spend more time worrying about English:

"I have written"

"naivete"

"Do the french ballet terms"

"the way i have written them"

Allthatjazz, glissade dessous could be right, but we don't use it in france. Just write "glissade".......(and please excuse my bad english)

glissade can be performed in a variety of ways. two of which are dessous and dessus. dessous is under and dessus is over. great website to verify balletic terms. ABT's: www.abt.org/education/dictionary/index.html

have fun writing your essays. if you are wanting any help, please do not hesitate to sing out.
