In the New York Times, Annette Grant interviews Victor Quijada, whose new work will premiere on the November 2, 2006 program. At the Bumbershoot Festival over Labor Day weekend, performances by Mr. Quijada's company, Rubberbandance, will be be preceded by a short segment performed by PNB dancers. When PNB takes the stage on Monday evening (Labor Day), they will also present an extract of Mr. Quijada's work.

The eight dancers in Paul Gibson's "The Piano Dance" did very well to showcase the company at the Fall for Dance Festival at City Center in NYC. Louise Nadeau especially seemed to have impressed the NY audience.

From a press release issued by New York City Ballet, Principal Dancer Miranda Weese will end her career at NYCB at the conclusion of the 2006-07 Winter Season (at the end of February 2007) and will spend the remainder of the season as a guest artist at Pacific Northwest Ballet.
