The theatre is built specifically for dance

Well, for dance that doesn't require wing space on stage right.

With my opera glasses, I much prefer 4th ring at the NYST to even most of the orchestra seats at the Met. You can see the ballet, see the patterns and see the whole stage and it's still cheaper than the higher rings at the Met. Why pay $60 when you can see just about as much for $15?

Kate

Thanks for sharing the above Kate. Sounds like a great deal! If ever I visit New York, I will take advantage of this.

It’s great that people are opening up about their Opera Glasses experiences! There is no shame in seeing the ballet up close when you sit far away. It’s not the same experience as the orchestra seats but it certainly comes close.

I have been vindicated by no less an authority than the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts! Click HERE!

* You’ll have to scroll down and then click on ‘The Program’ and then click on ‘cuesheet.’ They encourage fans to use BINOCULARS! And I only have theatre glasses that fit in your pocket!
