Apparently, after one year of ballet study, some people know more than the combined knowledge here of around one hundred years of professional dancing and teaching. I wish you well. Honestly, I really do! No one here wished any differently for you than I. Have fun with your dancing. Enjoying what you do is the most important thing! I have been pretty impressed with the articulate and helpful responses in this thread, but perhaps we should all let this one rest for a while? Lucy, I'm reminded of the saying,"You can lead a horse to the water, but you can't make him drink."

I agree Gina! I don't think that audreyballerina really wanted help when she first posted anyway. Maybe she thought that she was going to get a "you go girl" response. Not on this board. There are plenty of sites that will do that but here we will only give sound and responsible advice.

One last bit of advice that she may take or not, a change in attitude would be good. The dance world is very small and it is always a pleasure to work with somone willing to take advice and correction with a smile and a thank you.
