The magazine sent to NBoC subscribers was Dance Collection Danse. As I leafed through the pages I could not help but feel sorry for all the trees who sacrificed their lives for this latest propaganda courtesy of the NBoC. While it is true that many of the articles describe some uncomplimentary personality characteristics, for the most part, the writers gush over Kudelka’s choreography. Sadly, the NBoC has become an imprint for Kudelka’s ego. He is incapable of separating himself from his work. The two are integrally tied together. An Artistic Director must be objective and consider input from others if a company is to flourish. This is the year 2000. Unfortunately, Michael, the Dance Collection Danse website looks a bit stale. The latest magazine there seems to be dated September 1999.

I see now that you guys have certainly examined this quite thoroughly! I won't add anymore about the glasco saga.<P>With regard to the Inspired by Gould program...it was the one I did miss this year due to illness. My younger daughter did attend with a friend, but I don't know that a nine year old's recollections would tell much!<P>As a small aside, today there was an article in the local paper (Hamilton Spectator) about a young lady from the National Ballet school who has landed a corps position with Alberta Ballet. Apparently NBOC didn't want her. She described Mr. Kudelka as "hard to work with, a man who doesn't always explain what he wanted or meant." Hmmm. Interesting comment (but I hope she doesn't suffer for it!)
