Royal Ballet stretches to a tour of down under
By Valerie Lawson in The Sydney Morning Herald

The Royal Ballet is to tour Australia next year, its first visit in 14 years. The tour promoter, Edgley International, says 130-strong touring party, which includes 11 principal artists, will come to Australia on the three-city tour. Among the principal artists are French superstar Sylvie Guillem, Darcey Bussell and the Royal's two newest stars, Alina Cojocaru and Tamara Rojo.
The repertoire for the five- week tour in June and early July will include Peter Wright's production of Giselle, Anthony Dowell's production of Swan Lake and a triple bill of works by English choreographers - The Leaves Are Fading (Antony Tudor), Marguerite and Armand (Frederick Ashton) and a new, as yet untitled, work by Christopher Wheeldon.

The venue is Capitol Theatre, Haymarket (not the Opera House) and tickets can be purchased online from TicketMaster Australia.
