Alice Bain from 'The Guardian' enjoys the Kirov in Edinburgh. This is a different cast to the earlier Telegraph review, featuring Svetlana Zakharova and Farukh Ruzimatov.
www.guardianunlimited.co.uk/reviews/story/0,3604,216926,00.html
[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited May 04, 2000).]

Clement Crisp, recently voted (by a long way) the most trusted critic by ballet.co.uk readers journeys up to Scotland tosee the Kirov and clearly sees it as time well spent. An honourable mention to Bruce Marriott of ballet.co.uk who seems to have found a way of getting the clunky URLs from the new, impenetrable Financial Times site. You will need to Copy and Paste this link and none of us know how long the link will operate.
<A HREF="http://search.ft.com/search/multi/globalarchive.jsp?" This review kicks off with some more glum words about poor Mr Schaufuss' 'The King', but David Dougill's enthusiastic review of the Kirov's 'La Bayadere' is further down.
http://www.sunday-times.co.uk/news/pages/sti/00/05/07/sticuldnc01002.html
[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited May 07, 2000).]
