Jeremy James, aged 38, died suddenly in London.<P>He was Perth-born, trained at the Royal Ballet School and Rambert School, danced with London City Ballet, West Australian Ballet, the Australian Ballet, Rambert Dance Company and elsewhere. Statement from the Arts Council of England on the death of choreographer Jeremy James. <P>"The Council and staff of the Arts Council were terribly sorry to hear the news of Jeremy James' death, particularly the staff in the dance department, many of whom had known him and worked with him for many years, not just as funders, but as colleagues and friends. He was an outstandingly talented choreographer and dancer, and we feel privileged to have been able to support his work. His death comes at a time when his career was blossoming and he was much in demand from a number of the major dance companies in this country.<P>The Arts Council's dance department has funded Jeremy James' company through project funds over the last five years.
