Hello, I would like any of you who are into dance would advise me if it is possible that I start taking classes at my age (contemporary dance), and which academy you would suggest it is better for "adults" (though I dont feel like that).
I have always loved dancing but I have spent my years doing other exercises doing aerobic, steps, spinning....yes, I know, I feel a bit embarrased...but is it now possible to start?
where do i go?obvioulsy, I dont want to be a professional...just enjoy... :p

Welcome to criticaldance, Victoria.

Put simply, there's no age at which one is too old to start dancing for fun.

I don't know about schools in the London area, but I'm sure that some of our UK members will have something to say.

I hope you'll periodically update us on your progress.

Hi,
It is fantastic that you are eager to start dance classes.
I am a dance student living in London. I am sure that if you look at Laban or London Contemporary Dance School's (The Place) web sites you will find that they run adult contemporary classes in the evenings. On the other side of town, I know for a fact that Rambert dance company runs adult beginner classes at there studios on Chiswick High Road.

Hope this is helpful. Good Luck!
R :p
