Image
ID in Sydney
Probably not for this time as a ballet image would be good, but I've put this great image here as an aide memoire.
By the way, if you haven't visited our Gallery of previous front pages, it's well worth the trip.
[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited July 10, 2001).]

I rather think this belongs in Fun Stuff, but I'm posting here because there are some good pictures in the main page of this website.
www.shomler.com/dance/sharkie.htm
www.shomler.com/gallery.htm

Thanks from me too Red Shoes. Good fun and the 'straight' pictures will be useful perhaps for next time.

As some of you may have seen in this thread,
http://www.criticaldance.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/000076.html
criticaldance is sponsoring the forthcoming exhibition by Chris Nash, one of the leading dance photographers in the UK.
The exhibition starts in September and in August criticaldance is going to be active in raising sponsorship from various places, including our readers, to help finance the exhibition.
Thus it seems like a good idea to feature 1 or 2 images by Chris on our front page for this period. Thus i propose that we hold over our August/September selection that we have just made until October/November.
To paraphrase the words from the wedding ceremony, 'If you have an objection, speak now or forever hold thy peace!'

[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited July 26, 2001).]

Yes and no,
I wanted to send you an attachement of the winner of the Molly Lake award, Amy Lawson, who is a student at Central.
In fact the photo I wanted to send is by Bill Cooper and was featured in yesterdays Sunday Times in a report about the demise of their main fundraiser

Thanks for responding ferdy. I certainly would be pleased to look at the photo. Was it in the Internet edition?
No word from Leipzig I'm afraid, but PNB have approved the use of our second choice.UnlessLeipzig comeup with a response to my 2 e-mails we will go with the PNB one for October/November.
AS discussed and in order to take the chance to give a boost to the wonderful Chris Nash we have gone ahead with a lively image by him until the end of the exhibition. We are keen to do our bit to repay all the time and skill Chris has brought to promoting dance companies for 20 years.
Thanks for all your understanding.

I followed up with PNB to let them know not to expect "subtext rage" in August/September, but that we would use it in October/November. Cheers.
