How would you feel if you went to Marks & Spencer to get a look at their recently advertised new lines and discovered that they would not let you in unless you paid £15? Perhaps if you were planning to spend a lot of money and expected to get a decent discount you might not mind too much - especially of you had thought ahead and got the early booking reduction of £7.50. However, if you had to take a day off work and just wanted to keep up to date with the latest M&S fashions you might not
bother to go.

Technical Talk - Exhibitions

The start of September means two things to me. Firstly, the evenings drawing in and the first cold breaths of autumn Secondly, yet again the annual schlep to Earl’s Court and the PLASA trade show.

Other UK trade exhibitions like the ABTT Theatre Show and the Scottish Lighting Show offer a more intimate, informal (and in many ways more enjoyable) environment which, I believe, is far better suited to this industry given that developing relationships with people is so important.
