Here is an interesting quote from an article from the South Florida Sun Sentinel:

Quote:
Only in Spanish dance would the shoes get a program credit. They did for Ballet Nacional de EspaƱa's appearance at Miami Beach's Jackie Gleason Theater on Friday -- and what fine shoes the show had. Black stub-heel boots, for soldierly tramping; colorful character pumps, pretty and sturdy, to hold ground; soft white slippers whispering like dove wings.

Don't some ballet companies mention who provided their shoes?

Honestly, I remember seeing it only once or twice in ballet program notes.

Probably mention it because they either got them for nothing, or reduced, or something. COnsider it a sales agreement.

I believe that a credit was given in the program for the Moiseyev Dance Company. It is listed as (I am looking at my program) - "Sergei Igolkin, Bootmaker."
