Post subject:  how would you go about...

how would you go about getting the pieces of music onto a CD that you want to practice to?? it just that when i practice i put on a CD that has a few bits of music i like , i either keep repeating it or spend a lot of time changing the CD...what do i do ??

There are numerous commercial providers that offer this service, but your easiest and most cost-efficient means would be to find a friend whose computer has a CD burner (these have become quite common). Blank CDs are about $1.

If you are working in the same studio all the time, you could invest in a mini disc player (about $150 now for home model in the US) You could record from your CD player to the min disc player, and haveup to 74 minutes of music on each disc. <P>You could then, in seconds, change the order of the music on the mini disc, depending on what you are practicing, and combine or divide them as you wish. I've been purchasing the discs themselves for about a dollar a piece.
