Hey everybody, I have never posted in this section of the message board before!! I am helping with props at my studio's recital this year. I have good ideas for all my Props, but I am really stumped with one. I need to make one of those giant gold oscar men, because that is this years theme, 'a night at the oscars', we are all dancing to songs from movies. I want to make the oscar man about 7 feet tall. And it needs to be relatively light weight. does anyone have any suggestion ????<BR>thanks for your help.<BR>

I would suggest caution invoking that recognizable, and very much legally protected, statue....The name Oscar, the statue design, etc, are all copyrighted I believe. I'd hate to have you thanking the Academy for not suing you for too much.

Good point. Maybe you could make something that suggested the statue without it actually being the statue. I have no idea what that would be, but it's a suggestion.
