HI--my name is Dina McDermott. I am currently looking for teaching work in the Greater Seattle area. I am looking to teach in the areas of Ballet,Modern Dance, Jazz (beginning level), pointe and creative dance. I have a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School and MFA from Arizona State University and have over 20 years of teaching, performing and choreographic experience. My dances have been presented all over the U.S and also in Canada, Great Britian, Australia and New Zealand. Most recently, I have co-directed and performed with LEAVING GROUND/DANCE, a contemporary company. I am currently interested in two specific areas: yoga and writing about dance and movement practices; "Choreographic Processes: Dancing and Climbing Mountains" was featured in CONTACT QUARTERLY in l995. If you know of any teaching work, you can contact me through dinamcdermott@hotmail.com. Thank you!!!
