I'm not quite sure where I was meant to put this, but here it is:<BR>does anyone know of any summerschools in Melbourne which I can attend? I have been learning ballet, contemporary, character for 7 years. I am currently 15years old, so anything for students in secondary school would be great. <BR>please reply if you know of any!

hi purple, <P>the very best reference for this topic is the current issue of <B>dance australia magazine</B>.<P>this is because most of the places that do summer schools in australia aren't online yet.<P>AICD is, but its summer school is in the blue mountains (NSW) - and i haven't put the summer school up on the website yet - just another of a million small tasks i am way behind on!<P>there is an unusual number of high-quality summer schools this year - i really think the only answer is to buy the magazine. next week i could copy out some of the information for you, but i don't have time till next week, so i hope you will buy the mag in the meantime!<P>(p.s. do you realise that i am dance australia's west australian writer, and that the current acting editor of the magazine is also an active member of this board? so we like you to buy the mag! - only joking.) <p>[This message has been edited by grace (edited November 24, 2000).]

i know luba (liubov) nikonorenko, from the st petersburg vaganova school, as she is now resident in perth, having married a west australian. she teaches at the graduate college of dance. i can vouch for the very high quality of her tuition IF you are a serious ballet student in a vaganova method school, particularly if you are really ballet-talented.
