Here is a charming story in the LA Times about a UCLA students who returns to her grade school to teach kids to enjoy dance. A quote:

quote:
Locke tries to impart that same joy of dance to her students, a diverse group that commutes to the private school from the Crenshaw area as well as from Westwood, Beverly Hills and Hancock Park.
"I love it that the students come to class smiling," said Locke, who teaches students age 6 to 14. "Once we finish the class, they ask, 'Can we do the dance again?' I hope that if they feel empowered through dance, it will translate into other areas of their lives."

Read on.
