I went to roehampton and did a drama degree - but I know a little about the dance course.

Unless it has changed greatly in 7 years then you are right roehampton is mainly Contemporary. I think you have to take a combination of modules which are both theory and performance/choreography in the first year. then in your second and third years you have more scope to choose the areas that you are most inetrested in. The course is run on the Froebel campus which is beautiful - I know a lot of the students choose to choreograph for outdoor performances there because the surrounding are so lovely.

I would advise going along to open days at both universities. that should give you a good idea as to which course is for you and you should get chance to talk to students and lecturers to see which course would suit you best.
