this is the new RAD website:
http://www.rad.org.uk/default2.html
it has a Strategic Review questionnaire, which says its due by march 31st, but if you have an opinion, you may want to fill it out anyway (it takes a while to do it properly).
the questionnaire aslks about opinions as to directions forward for the RAD, such as implementing a contemporary dance syllabus, etc.
it also asks 'are our standards too high?', 'are we too expensive?' (yes, in my view...), are our examiners off-putting? (or words to that effect!)...provocative questions!
a very informative, if rather dry site.

so far all i have heard is that of more than 17,000 RAD members, only approx 2000 people responded to the questionnaire, and some of them (like me) weren't even the members (as was invited).

well, yes xwish - but any statistician will tell you that low response-rates are quite the norm!
however, one reason i might have expected THIS one to be better than this, is that people DO *so* love to complain about the RAD, yet when given an open opportunity to do so - even anonymously via the web - so many paid-up members haven't taken it. i bet they don't stop whingeing though!
