I am starting up GCSE dance in my school so it is a very exciting time for me and the students. I have been given a large budget as we are a new school so have order many good quality resources to help deliver the course (teacher's notes etc) :)

However, even after an excellent GCSE Dance Keynotes course, and having done GCSE, A-Level and Degree level dance I still have no idea how to start planning the units of work. In many hours of searching on the web, I have found one scheme but nothing else. I don't even want to copy someone elses but just know where to start or what to include :)

Hi There. Im David.

Planning isnt the easiest part when you are first starting out but it is much eaiser than you would think.

I suggest you contact the National Dance Teachers Association and they might be able to help you. If you have no luck get in touch and i will help you with making a template for planning.

Their website is: http://www.ndta.org/

My daughter and her freind wish to carry out a dance GCSE but we are having trouble finding a teacher who will deliver the GCse in its entirety. We live in the surrey/berkshire/hants border. Can anyone help with some telephone number or contact addresses.
Unfortunately her school are being less than helpfull.

Hi Webby and welcome to CriticalDance - hope we hear from you regularly in the months to come.

A friend has advised me that one route is to contact the National Dance Teachers' Association:

http://www.ndta.org.uk/

Let us know how you get on.
