I am looking for a training program for contemporary dance for someone who is just graduating high school. Preferably in NYC, Miami, Chicago or California. Any help would be great!

There is, of course, Julliard, in NYC: http://www.juilliard.edu/. The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, which is now in the former Merce Cunningham space in Greenwich Village (the lower East Side): http://marthagraham.org/school/.

Hubbard Street in Chicago: http://www.hubbardstreetdance.com/.

These are the one that are I know about and each are well-established. Julliard is a degree program, while Hubbard is not. I'm biased toward the Graham work -- totally beneficial for your development as a dancer -- a terrific technique and so expressive.

You could probably do a Google search for contemporary dance in Miami and California.

Best wishes with your post-high school dancing!

This is an excellent program in the Bay Area in Northern California: http://www.dominican.edu/academics/ahss ... linesdance

This is an excellent program in the Miami area in Florida: http://nwsa.mdc.edu/nwsa-college-dance.html
