Hello everyone,
I’m fairly new to dance, but I’m enjoying every minute of it, even though I’m a late starter. Our dance teacher has given us a challenge; we have to pick a poem, choose music, and choreograph a dance. I’ve chosen the following poem by Tristan Tamish, it’s called “And I will be the whisper of the breeze”:
And I will be the whisper of the breezeAnd I will be the whisper of the breeze
That wraps itself around your ear,
Its gentle caress passing through the strands of glinting black hair,
Lifting and alighting,
Close to you, around you.
In winter, it warms you,
In summer it brushes the skin behind your ear,
Sending cool frissons to the tips of each finger.
And I will be the freshness of the mist before the rain,
Filled with promise,
Gossamer across your shoulders,
Touching lightly - so softly – upon your lovely neck.
And I will be the twilight and the dawn,
Lambent red and amber rays,
Breaking past indifferent clouds,
You will feel my smile upon you
My eyes embracing you.
The world which holds us far
Will be my very messenger
And you will never feel the brumal cold
Of solitude or silence
As I will be the music of your soul
The Whisper of the breeze.
I have chosen the following music:

I’m practically after some advice as I’ve never choreographed a dance before, but I’m certainly looking forward to it. I would also appreciate it if you could give me links to videos that may help me or give me ideas.
Thank you for your time,
Stevenson.
