Has anyone checked out this site or read/brought her book? It's gotten great reviews from dancers and the teachers alike!

Hello and welcome, angela...There certainly are many accolades for the book from some very prominent and well-respected dancers/teachers. As far as the pointe shoes, some teachers do not feel they are a shoe that should be worn by less experienced students. There have been a few threads on the archived Students' Forum about Gaynor Minden pointe shoes.

I have her book and it's very well done -- just the right amount of information, images, and humor.
