|Post subject:||Chickenshed's "A Christmas Carol"|
The wonderful Chickenshed's latest production is already up and running. "A Christmas Carol", from the famous novel by Charles Dickens, combines theatre, dance and music with the combined talents of all the Chickenshed companies, including their legions of young performers.
I haven't had a chance to see this production, yet, but "reliable sources" tell me that it's another good 'un. Chickenshed's Christmas shows certainly maintain a remarkably high standard, which has prompted some critics to say that they beat the offerings in the West End. But, along with the highest professional standards and strong entertainment value, with Chickenshed you always get some insights into social, psychological or political areas that make them more than mere entertainment.
Here are the details of performances of "A Christmas Carol" and how to book tickets. If you are tempted to go, best to book quickly as the shows do tend to get sold out:

Listen to an interview with Mary Ward and Sheila Hancock on Radio 4
We are pleased to tell you that Chickenshed was featured in an interview on Radio 4’s You and Yours programme today, Friday 7 December.
The interview was with Mary Ward, Artistic Director, and award-winning actress Sheila Hancock. The first performance of "A Christmas Carol" was generously funded by The John Thaw Foundation, of which Sheila is a Trustee, which allowed children who have not been to the theatre before to come and see our exciting and magical Christmas show.
