The wonderful Chickenshed's latest production is already up and running. "A Christmas Carol", from the famous novel by Charles Dickens, combines theatre, dance and music with the combined talents of all the Chickenshed companies, including their legions of young performers.
I haven't had a chance to see this production, yet, but "reliable sources" tell me that it's another good 'un. Chickenshed's Christmas shows certainly maintain a remarkably high standard, which has prompted some critics to say that they beat the offerings in the West End. But, along with the highest professional standards and strong entertainment value, with Chickenshed you always get some insights into social, psychological or political areas that make them more than mere entertainment.
