THE LIGHTS DIM, THE MUSIC begins and the curtain slowly opens. The 2007 production of "Impressions of The Nutcracker," presented by students and faculty of the San Ramon Valley Dance Academy is one of the best gifts local residents receive each holiday season.

Rehearsals, costume fittings and new choreography began way back in the August heat when auditions for the coveted parts were held.
