LA RIBOT (UK)
40 Espontaneous (UK Premiere)

Thu 27 - Sat 29 October, 7.45pm
Greenwich Dance Agency: 020 8293 9741
Tickets £12 (£9 concs)

Meet the Artist: all performances with Maria Ribot. Free to ticket holders after the performance

Choreographer/artist La Ribot (Maria Ribot) uses her fascination with the dynamic of los espontáneous (the spectators who jump into the bullring after the fight and steal the show from the bullfighter) where reality interacts with spontaneity to create a raw and sometimes dangerous performance.

La Ribot's espontáneous are untrained London-based individuals who will have worked together for four hours a day over just five days. During the performance, they inhabit a space filled with an enormous carpet of furniture, colourful objects and clothes. They construct and deconstruct. They dress up with love. They laugh with honesty. They reveal the passion, vulnerability and openness of their everyday actions.

These performances are presented by Dance Umbrella and gDA, with Artsadmin.
