Thanks for keeping us up-to-date Stuart.<P>Ann Carlson’s recent Boston venture appears to have satisfied my expectations of site-specific performance. In this case, the onlooker/writer was enticed by the performers to think about the site, to ask questions about the happenings in historical parts of the city. <P>When I joined a crowd following Ann Carlson around the streets of downtown Manhattan, earlier this year (“Dancing in the Streets” series), stopping in different places to observe black and white early 20th century tableaus (some even earlier), I felt like I was stepping back in time. I was fascinated by Carlson’s insight and ideas and I would have gone back for more on a regular basis, if possible. In just 2 hours, I gathered more insight into New York City’s atmosphere all those years ago, than I could possible glean from books, documentaries and 2 years of getting to know the city. <BR><P>------------------<BR>[This message has been edited by Jennifer]<BR>
